What is a luxury crewed charter yacht show? Its an industry-held private event every year which brings together professional charter yacht sailing vacation brokers, crews and amazing luxury catamarans, motor yachts and sailboats, all in one place. At the last show, the Yacht Charters Gurus visited over 120 yachts of all types. With daytime viewings, evening social events and a multitude of culinary competitions, it is the perfect venue for crews to promote an active charter season.
We really enjoy getting to meet the crews & learn more about the yachts. As former yacht charter crew for many years, we have a special insight & unique relationship with crews. Our positive experience has carried over into lots of new bookings for sailing vacations in the Caribbean! One of the most interesting aspects of the show is the camaraderie between the yachts, crews and brokers. Think about it. These individual yachts as well as yacht charter brokers are in direct competition between each other without any issues. Their only exchange is friendship and the willingness to help one another. We wondered what our experience would be like after switching over from an owner/operator of a crewed yacht charter to a yacht charter broker. It has been fantastic!

Captain Dawn Marie has always sought out adventure, landing her here in the heart of the Caribbean where she has thrived for the last 8 years. Raised in New Mexico, she took her love for the outdoors from her parents who taught her, exploring, rock climbing, wake-boarding , hiking, dirt biking, backpacking, scuba diving & every other sport or hobby she could get her hands on. Capt. Dawn & Chef Ben met in the BVI's; Ben visiting from Europe, sailing around the Virgin islands on yours truly, the beautiful Castellina. While getting his bearings and feel for the Caribbean, Dawn was on charter, moored up for the night in the same bay, they met and I suppose you could say “ the rest is history”. Their love and respect for both the sea and sailing brought them together, while their love for dancing, mutual need for adventure and passion for extreme sports had them intrigued immediately, discovering what a happy and effective team they made on both land and sea pretty much sealed the deal.
