We've helped plan many weddings on yachts in the U.S. Virgin Islands over the past 24 years. St. Thomas and St. John have a lot of wonderful wedding coordinators, clergy, photographers, florists and even violists that will help you "tie the knot on a yacht".
While you can definitely get legally married in paradise, we feel that it's better to get married before you leave home and then celebrate during your yacht charter vacation.
Sometimes people really don’t want to have to deal with the paperwork & courthouse formalities needed to get married in the USVI. Weddings on a yacht vs on land require a bride and groom that's ready to go with the flow, especially during those pop-up rain showers!
In the recent past, we connected our clients a wonderful wedding planner who create a wedding of your dreams including cake, flowers for all the bridesmaids, a decorated arch, violists, professional photographer, etc. The wedding planner is actually very reasonable but the “extras” do add up quickly. This group chose to stay on the dock for 24 hours so that they jump in a cab headed to the beach, ensuring that they wouldn’t get salt spray on their special wedding clothes. It's the little things that you have to think about when planning a yacht wedding! Note: Additional requested dockage for your yacht charter wedding is at your expense.
A less expensive/hassle-free option that works well: Get married before you arrive. We’ll ask the your yacht charter crew to either make a simple cake or buy a small wedding cake at the bakery. You can pick your own pink bougainvillea flowers for your hair & bouquet and for the top of the cake if you wish. Hop in the dinghy and go to the beach. Say your vows again to each other and take photos with your own cameras or smart phones. Celebrate sunset with a bottle of champagne.
Best Wedding Story Ever: The last time we had a wedding on our charter yacht, the bride wore an inexpensive pretty lace dress and the second after she said “I do”, she took it off and surprised all of us wearing a pink polka-dot bikini underneath. The couple swam off with the champagne and they were laughing like crazy at the silly look on our faces. It was hilarious and very memorable!

About Us-Your Charter Yacht Brokers: Capt. Randy & Shelly Tucker! This year, we will celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary!
We do not sell yachts like many other agencies so there is no conflict or distraction in our focus for your yacht charter. Our service is free to you. We travel extensively to boat shows and yacht charter shows year-round to personally view and inspect as many of the yachts. 6 Reasons Why We are Qualified:
1. As Members of the Charter Yacht Brokers Association and the Virgin Islands Professional Charter Yacht League, we maintain contact with the yachts to keep abreast of the very latest information on crew/yacht conditions and new yachts entering the arena. 2. We stay on top of local and Federal Governments to keep informed about changes in our industry, as well as involve ourselves with the changes in the environment in which we offer charters. 3. We engage in open dialogue with local publications to help keep the government and the public aware of this important industry in our islands. 4. We attend multiple charter yacht industry shows in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, go aboard each of the yachts, meet the crews, attend association meetings and seminars. We'll happily share our notes about changes to the boats and crews and confirm any newly added features and upgrades as well as re-fits to the boat’s decor like new carpets, interior and exterior soft goods & fun new water toys. 5. As a seasoned charter yacht Owner & Crew, we have access to the "inner circle" and know all the insider facts. 6. We've developed a longtime friendship with vendors of services such as local taxi drivers, ferry companies, good places to stay on land, great restaurants, and much more. Contact us for more info!
